Understanding the Battle System

Simple to learn, but with more depth than it first appears. Build your team, balance your stats, and find the right combination of cards to give yourself the best chance in battle.

How the Battle System Works The Card Pack Hunter battle system is designed to be easy to understand at first glance. However, once you start looking closer at the numbers, you'll discover that building the right team is just as important as finding powerful cards. It's not simply about owning the strongest cards. It's about having enough cards and enough variety to manage your statistics and build a balanced team. 25 Cards Per Stack Every battle stack contains 25 cards. The order and balance of the cards you choose can have a major impact on how your team performs. For example, if your stack is heavily focused on defense, you may have a team that can survive for a long time — but you may struggle to deal enough damage to actually win the battle. On the other hand, focusing too heavily on damage can leave your team vulnerable. Finding the right balance is where the strategy comes in. Use Your Team Manager The built-in Team Manager is there to help you create your stack. Instead of manually going through your entire collection, the system allows you to work through your cards based on their statistics. For example, you can start by looking at your cards with the highest damage, choose the ones you want, and then continue to the next step where you can select cards based on their defensive statistics. This gives you a much easier way to build a team around the numbers you want. Why Collecting More Cards Matters This is one of the reasons why collecting cards is so important. You don't necessarily need to find the single strongest card. Having a larger collection gives you more options when building your 25-card stack. The more cards you have, the more combinations you can experiment with and the easier it becomes to fine-tune your statistics. A card that doesn't look particularly useful on its own could become valuable when combined with the right cards. Battles Are Unpredictable Once your team is ready and you battle another player, the cards are randomly drawn from your stack. You know the cards you've selected, but you don't know exactly which ones will appear or in what order. That means having a good overall balance is important. You can't simply rely on one powerful card — your entire 25-card stack needs to work together. Build. Balance. Battle. The battle system may look simple when you first start playing. But once you begin paying attention to the statistics, card combinations, and the order in which your cards can appear, there's much more to discover. Collect more cards. Experiment with your numbers. Build your stack. Find your balance. Then see how your strategy performs against another player.
